Distribution: Restricted to the Bangweulu area of eastern Zambia.

Description: Medium/large antelope. Reddish-copper coat with black-grey markings on shoulders, rump and upper parts of the legs and face. Side sweeping horns. Sloping body to the back.
Bangweulu Tsessebe – Slightly lighter colouration than the Common Tsessebe.
Sex Determination: Both sexes carry horns. Male’s horns are a lot thicker than the females and darker colouring on the coat. Also, a bit heavier.
Trophy Assessment: From 14”+.
Shot Placement: Broadside – in the middle of the body straight-up with the front legs.
