Distribution: Most of South Africa, excludes the Kalahari.

Description: There are three subspecies: South African Springbuck, Kalahari Springbuck and Angolan Springbuck.
Medium sized antelope. Fawn colour coat on the top part of the flanks, back and neck. Dark brown stripe on the side and white belly and bottom flank. White face with brown lines under the eyes to the lip. Ringed curved horns. There are 3 other colour variations ie: the white, black, and copper.
Sex Determination: Both sexes carry horns, males’ are a lot bigger and heavier. Body size males are also a lot heavier.
