Description: The largest land animals, Dark grey skin provides excellent camouflage, extremely nimble and fast for its size. Eyesight relatively poor, smell and hearing are phenomenal. Walks great distances daily while feeding. Drinks regularly.

Sex Determination: Cows exhibits an almost 90-degree angle on the forehead, bulls have a rounded forehead.

Trophy Assessment: Ivory grows throughout life, so the older the elephant the smaller the nerve cavity and the denser and heavier the tusk.

Shot Placement: Side-on heart lung shot is always a safe bet with the greatest margin of error. Side brain shot is the preferred head shot to take as it is less intimidating.
